Overview
Secretly ("the Bot") is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of its users. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.
1. Data Collection
We collect minimal data necessary for the Bot's functionality:
- User IDs: Stored for moderation and blacklisting purposes.
- Server IDs: Stored to save configuration settings (e.g., confession channel IDs).
- Message Content: Confessions are processed to be posted anonymously. Depending on server settings, logs may be temporarily cached to facilitate the Reply and Review systems.
2. Anonymity Guarantee
The core mission of Secretly is anonymity.
- We do not reveal the identity of a confessor to server staff or other users.
- Metadata linked to confessions is only accessible to Bot Developers in cases of extreme Terms of Service violations (e.g., illegal activity).
3. Data Retention & Deletion
- Configuration Data: Deleted automatically if the Bot leaves a server.
- User Data: Users may request a manual data wipe by contacting the development team through the Official Support Server.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to outside parties. Data is only shared with Discord's API as required for the Bot to operate.
